Makawao is the starting point for upcountry, Maui. A cowboy, cattle town with fun shopping and good eats. Pukalani, meaning hole to the sky, is then on the way to Keokea on the Kula Highway. Keep going and you are rewarded with wine…some of which is grown nearby. The cabs that is. And if you insist, the Pineapple wine isn’t too bad. if you like fruity and sweet. Good gift shop and lovely grounds to stroll. Botanical gardens and lavender gardens are sights to behold also in upcountry Maui.  See map for locations.
