Plant seeds got to Maui in one of three ways:
- Air, not plane Blew in.
- Bird drippings. Yes the birds ate the seeds, flew to Maui and made their deposit all without the help of Fed Ex.
- The Polynesians. Brought their plants and seeds 7,000 miles over open ocean water.
Now you can see all of these plants at three gardens that are open to the public:
- Kula Botanical Gardens
- Enchanting Floral Gardens
- One other on the North Side of West Maui.
The first two are on the way to Haleakaia.
